Not much to write here. I’m a writer living in Pittsburgh and working in communications during the day. My work nestled between genres from a marketing point of view, but as a writer, I just reach for dark and absurd and strange, try to make it sound nice. I have a BA in Fiction from the University of Pittsburgh, an MS in Communications from Purdue, and in 2015, I attended the Odyssey Writer’s Workshop. My short work has appeared in SEE THE ELEPHANT and ESCAPE POD.
On this blog, I try to write Craft Criticism, a form of writing about writing that uses techniques from literary criticism. That means doing close readings of texts and trying to synthesize knowledge from that analysis. Reading like a writer, as the saying goes.
